~Guest Comments and Reviews~ "TripAdvisor and HomeAway" Reviews " Hidden Island Gem " The kitchen has everything you can possibly need. Some days we cooked breakfast and dinner, which we ate on our private lanai or patio by the beach! The bed was very comfortable and the bedroom had plenty of closet and drawer space to unpack and settle in. Tastefully decorated and very clean, there is also an assortment of CD's and books to keep you entertained! This is one of the nicest units in the complex. We met another couple on vacation and they were definitely jealous about how nice our unit was! Coffee is served out on the patio every morning. The property managers, Maureen and Paul, are very friendly and the atmosphere was great. The views from the beach are spectacular, with the West Maui mountains to the right, Mt. Haleakala to the left and Molokini to the south. It really gives you a sense of all there is to explore on the island! One special moment for us was sitting on the beach and watching the humpback whales breach the water! Some of our activies included: Restaurants: It was hard to say goodbye this unit. We miss the sound of the crashing waves while we sleep. We would definitely stay here again and have recommended it to everyone we know!! The owner's communication is outstanding and definitely goes above and beyond. Her recommendations were spot on and we absolutely had the time of our lives. If you are coming to Maui, look no further, this is the place to stay!!! " A Home Away From Home " It's on the ground floor (an aspect you'll greatly appreciate), it's clean, comfortable, nicely decorated, and very well provisioned. We never had to say, "we need a ....", and not find that it was already there! The owner of this condo unit has thought of everything! When she said, (other than food) "Just bring your clothes", she was not kidding. You have your own lanai, and there's no adjacent condo jammed up right next to the unit, so it's quite private and a great place to have your morning coffee and enjoy an unobstructed view of the sunrise. It's just a few steps to the pool, common patio, and the beach, and being located on the older, North end of Kihei, away from the bulk of the condos, apartments, and homes in Kihei, the area is quiet and our morning, sunset, and moonlight walks on the beach were very peaceful and romantic. There's morning coffee provided on the common patio, if you don't want to make your own, and occasionally they'll have a pancake breakfast for all guests (the macadamia+banana pancakes were wonderful!). There's also an evening social hour with pupu's (Hors d’Oeuvres) where you can get to know all the other guests and watch the beautiful sunsets. Generally, all the other guests, when we were there, were in the 45+ age group, which for us, was an added bonus. All of the people we met there were very nice, and became like good neighbors and friends that were all sharing the little slice of paradise that we called home, even if only for a short time. We were so happy to have discovered this great place to stay on Maui. The owner is very personable and a real pleasure to deal with. We will definately be going back to stay there again! Our unit A6 was extremely clean & the decor just delightful. We had access to every appliance imaginable, from microwave to ice cream maker. Upon our arrival we indulged in the sweetest pineapple. A gift left on the kitchen table from the owner. At Kihea Sands you are literally steps away from the ocean. The grounds are meticulously groomed, with flowers & lawn. There's a bbq near the pool area that is always up and running. Good for those stay at home dinners. Coffee is served at the pool every morning. The location is perfect for the best priced golfing & snorkeling on the island. Kihea Beach is minutes away with all the cool shops & restaurants to check out. We are planning to go back next year, same time same place!
